This trade works under the 125% rule, along with bringing Golden State below the hard cap.
As for my Timberwolves, it's a new era. We're bringing in dunk champ snub Jaylen Brown. We think he fits better next to Ant and Gobert in the long run.

I accept.
I give up some great young talent whose NBA stock is just rising (but not really fitting GSW's timeline) to make Curry's last few elite years worth it and make the roster contender worthy. Bringing in KAT officially gives the city of SF the 'Splash Triplets'. I still kept the championship core together of Curry-Klay-Dray-Wiggins for another title run or two. KAT is also still a great piece to re-tool/build around after the Curry era. Still have other trades in the works to fill out the bench unit, but even as is I think out starting 5 can compete with anyone barring injury.

Most surprising contender move? Maybe. Least surprising “chase one of my d5 guys” moves? Absolutely.
In seriousness, I believe this team is deep enough to weather the future-focused move in the short term and still be a contender (probably even facilitates some form of trade up if we’re honest), in the mid term I have considerably more flexibility to make trades with some salaries that aren’t 30M+ or sub-3M and add valuable trade assets, and in the long term get some freedom from JB’s huge contract and some extremely talented youth that I believe will develop into extremely important players for me down the line. Win win.

Just as a point of clarification, unless stated otherwise we will assume all picks involved in trades are unprotected.

This trade boils down to valuation of Kuminga.
I am not the biggest believer of Kuminga but I have heard, read and seen enough that I need to evaluate him at a higher trade value than what I personally assessed him with.
blue chip prospect+very good prospect+playable vets+high potential 1st for an All-Star caliber in-prime player is fine.
Accept.

Although I do not believe value is equal for all 3 sides, I also don't see a reason for the trade to be rejected.
Warriors get an All Star to pair with Curry in his last years, Wolves get a better fit next to Ant and Gobert, and the Celtics get 2 exciting young players and a pick with upside for an all star.
Accept.
