Current Rating: 82 Proposed Rating 78
Stats: 22.2 / 6.6 (0.9 offensive rebounds) / 4.2 (2.7 turnovers) / 0.5 blocks / 0.7 steals.
Splits: .463 / .336 / .775 with a TS% of .547 for a 6'9 Power Forward
He was DEAD LAST in Defensive LeBron for PF's with at least 1000+ minutes below the likes of Bojan Bogdanovic and GG Jackson, he's just an awful defender, honestly one of the worst in the league and doesn't score in any effecient matter to make up for it, in facts according to stats he's an inneficient shot chucker.
Defensive LEBRON: -1.77 Offensive LEBRON: 0.01 Total LEBRON: -1.76

82, Stated my reasons in DC, I’m fine to be wrong if other people do think he’s voted too high and whack him down, just think he was clearly the Wizards best player last year, and an 82 feels fair

So this 82 SW was from December 2022.
The season prior (20/21):
17/8.5/3.5 on 45/34/71 (55 TS)
His 21/22 season leading up to that point:
10/22: 17/7/2 on 43/34/78 (55 TS) 11/22: 22/8/4 on 47/30/70 (56 TS) 12/22: 23/7/4 on 48/39/65 (57 TS)
Since then, month by month:
1/23: 22/8/5 on 43/31/72 (52 TS) 2/23: 18/6/3 on 36/29/86 (46 TS) 3/23: 20/6/3 on 47/35/78 (58 TS)
10/23: 22/7/2 on 48/25/89 (56 TS) 11/23: 24/6/5 on 47/38/81 (56 TS) 12/23: 23/6/4 on 46/35/70 (55 TS) 1/24: 20/7/4 on 44/27/89 (51 TS) 2/24: 22/7/3 on 46/35/69 (54 TS) 3/24: 23/7/5 on 48/33/75 (57 TS)
Like, at what point exactly did he go from a 82 to a 78? If anything he’s improved steadily since that stock watch. We give other players passes all the time for getting burnt out on shitty teams and the Wizards roster has for sure been hot ass since before he’s been there.
The defense sucks but it’s impossible to extract a player’s defense from the team and coaching around them and on the Laker’s teams he played with before the Wizards his D never stuck out as this bad so it’s totally fair to assign some credit to his team on that front.
I don’t really see a reason to vote as if he’s had a remarkable drop in ability so I’m just gonna give him an 82.

These are Cade numbers. Are we gonna SW him too? Cade literally got SW'ed after the season was already over, I know you don't WATCH basketball but we're talking literally about the worst defensive forward in the league

Isn’t Cade like a bottom 5 defensive player in the NBA?

For comparison, while Kuzma ranks 1st among PF's and 11th overall, Cade is tied for 15th amongst PG's and 42nd overall.
And that's just for players with 1000+ minutes, if you make it without restrictions the gap is MUCH wider despite Cade playing a position that ranks MUCH lower overall than the average PF.
So if you can put the honorary stooge aside and get back to the discussion of the player that would be appreciated

So they have nearly identical stats but you suggested Cade as an 83, and Kuzma as a 78. Interesting
